ALL COMMISSIONERS OF CUSTOMS

Subject :- Consideration of application under paragraph 6.8 of the Handbook (Vol.1) without reference to Headquarters EPCG Committee.

 

Attention is invited to paragraph 6.8 of the Handbook (Vol.1). wherein it has been stated that in such cases where nexus norms have already been communicated by the Headquarters or the same are already established on the basis of the EPCG licences issued in the past by the Port Offices , such applications may not be forwarded to the Headquarters EPCG Committee.

In addition to the items covered by the Lists given in Annexure to the Policy circular No.3 (RE2000)/1997-2002 dated 7-4-2000, it has been decided that in respect of the items given in the Annexure to this Circular , EPCG licences upto Rs.50 Crores may be issued by the RLAs concerned without referring such applications to Headquarters EPCG Committee.

This issues with the approval of the DGFT.
