Online IEC Application

 

The applicant can file for the IEC (Importer Exporter Code) Number online at the http://dgft.gov.in for issue of a new IEC. Select the link IEC Application to proceed.

IEC Main Application Form

The main application form with the heading Application for Importer Exporter Code Number will appear as follows

 

 

The system displays the IEC Reference number initially with zeros and it remains disabled.

The set of zeros will then change to twenty digit IEC Reference Number once Add &Update Button is pressed.

All the fields marked with asterisk appearing in red color is mandatory.

(Please Note :If you try to submit the file without feeding the data in the mandatory fields the mandatory fields the message box will appearing stating the error along with the field name).

The format of the date is dd.mm.yyyy which should be followed strictly.

For example if the date is February 12,2005 then it should be entered as 12.02.2005 it will display invalid date if the format is 12.2.2005,12/2/2005 or in any other format other than the specified one.

(Please Note : If the date format is incorrect the system will display Invalid date message).

 

 

 

 Enter the Name,Address,City/State,PinCode,Telephone,e-mail and Date of establishment.

 Select the Nature of Concern,Type of Exporter from the drop down list .In case you select others category from the drop down list then specify it in others text box option.

 Enter the Bank Name/Address ,Type of A/C, A/C Number under the Bank Details heading.

 Enter the PAN Number, PAN issue date and Issuing Authority under the PAN details heading.

 Select the Office from the drop down list where you want to submit the application for obtaining IEC Number.

 After feeding the complete details press Add&Update Button the system will generate the IEC Reference Number which can be quoted for future reference/corrospondence.

 

 

Branch Details

 

Once the data of the main application is added and IEC Reference Number is generated then select Branch Details option in order to add Branch Details in the following form: 

 The IEC Reference Number appears by default which remains disabled.

 

 

 

 Enter the Address,City/State and Pin Code then press Submit button when the branch details record will be added

 The branch list will display the number of records added in the branch details option

 

 

 

 

 

If you want to modify the Address/City/State/Pin then select update radio button option and then press OK button

If you want to delete any Branch then select Delete radio button option press OK button

If you want to add another Branch first select clear radio button then press OK button when the blank text boxes will appear so that another record is added.

 

 

Director Details

Once the data in the main IEC application form is added and IEC Reference Number is generated then select the Director Details option in order to add Director details as per the following form:

 The IEC Reference Number appears by default which remains disabled.

 (Please Note : The field marked with asterisk is mandatory)

 

 

Enter the Director Name, Father Name,Address ,City /State ,Pin Code and Telephone.

 Once the data entry is complete press submit button when the director detail record will be added.

 

 

If you want to modify the Director Name,Father Name,Address/City/State/Pin then select update radio button option and then press OK button

If you want to delete any Director then select Delete radio button option press OK button

If you want to add another Director first select clear radio button then press OK button when the blank text boxes will appear so that another record is added.

 

Preview &Submit

In case the data entry is complete select the link Preview& submit when the application will open in the browser with the Submit IEC Application Button at the bottom :

 

 

You can cross-check your application here before submitting the application finally to the concerned office.

Press the Submit IEC Application Button when the following message will appear :

IEC Application submitted Successfully to O/o Office Name

Please note down the Ecom Reference Number : 00000000000000XXXXXX for future reference

 

 

 

 

Upload Documents

Select the Upload Documents link to attach the documents along with the application when the following dialog will appear :

 

 

Select the Browse Button as on the right hand side when the following dialog will appear

 

 

 Select the required file that you have to attach and press the Open button.

The path of the file will automatically appear as given from your local system in the File text box. Enter the subject name in the subject text box option.

(Please Note: You can scan the document before attaching. The files with extension of type .doc ,.exe,.bmp is not allowed . If the files with extension of type other than .txt,.rtf,.htm,.html is attached the following message box will appear.)

  

 

Select Upload Document Button when File Upload Status dialog will appear. 

 

 

In case you want to attach another document click Yes Button and give the path of the file. Likewise repeat the above process for attaching other files.
